Scripture: Isaiah 64:8b

The story is told during the Great Depression of a man who lost his job, wife, home and fortune. With everything gone he hung on tightly to the one thing he still had left --- his faith in God.
One day he stopped to watch some men doing stonework on a church. One of the workers was chiseling a triangular piece of stone. He asked the worker, "What are you going to do with that piece?"
"See that little opening way up there near the spire?" the worker asked. "Well, I'm shaping this piece of stone down here --- so it will fit in up there."
As the man walked away --- tears filled his eyes. The Holy Spirit had used the worker to explain the ordeal he was going through --- it was then he understood what Jesus was doing in his life: "Shaping me down here --- so I'll fit in up there."
No matter what shape I'm in today it is clear to me that when I'm walking with Jesus HE is shaping me into what HE is desiring for my life.
Prayer: Father thank you for all the different shapes I've been --- and the "shaping" Jesus is currently doing in my life --- in preparation for my place in eternity with you. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
