3/15/04 - Vijayawada, India 2004
Carol and I returned to Vijaywada, India to work with Lanka on the final editing of the film MY LAWYER. Between editing sessions in Hydrabad we had time to see India and the ministries Lanka is responsible for.

Meet Buchie (pronounced Bushy). She is Lankas wife. They have two children and Buchie is the superintendent of St. Paul's english speaking Chrisitian School.
Carol and I had the privledge of feeding 100 orphans at an evening meal. The children were neat, clean, very poite and well behaved.

Carol and I bought ice cream for all the children. Here Lanka and Carol dish it up.
The smiles are so big because for most of these children --- this is the first time they have ever tasted ice cream.
Several years before our visit Carol and I helped Lanka raise funds for the bunk beds you see. Prior to the beds the children slept on the floor. The beds that were built are stronger and better than the bunks we had a Fort Plok, Louisiana in the Army!

Lanka has created a sewing school for widows. They attend free and learn sewing skills and then go out and find a job.
