1st Jerusalem Prayer Visit
3/1/05

A current picture of the OLD CITY --- Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives.

Eastern Wall of Old Jerusalem where Jesus will return. Look very closely at the top of the gate and you will see two guard shacks. The Muslims guard the gate 24 hours a day to prevent the return of Jesus.

Carol and I received hundreds of emails with prayer requests.

We were on our way to the Wailing Wall to pray when I asked if any cdd participants would like us to place a prayer in the wall for them.

We printed out the prayer requests and cut them into strips. One prayer request per stip. Then we individually prayed over each one and inserted them into the wall. We planned to be there one half day and stayed for three.

Plaque inside the Tomb where Jesus was enturned for three days.

Plaque commemorating Romans 1:4

Tomb that fits the description of the one Jesus was in. Note the circle where the stone was.

Hill that is just outside of a Jerusalem Gate that fits the description of Golgatha. The place of the skull.

Recently discovered fishing boat from the mud of the Sea of Galilee --- said to be over 2,000 years old and was similar to the boats Jesus and the disciples used.

Artists rendition of Jesus and the disciples catching abundant fish. Today by the sea you can order St. Peter's fish for lunch.

Modern day Sea of Gallilee fishing boat used to catch St. Peter's fish.

Pastor Carol stands in the Capharnaum Synogogue where Jesus taught.

Capharnaum plaque describing the Synagogue, House of Simon Peter and announcing it as the town of Jesus. This is where Jesus spent the winter. He was in Jerusalem the rest of the year.

Pastor Carol successfully climbs aboard a camel.

Pastor Bill does the Dead Sea float in about five feet of water.

Some where near the Mountains of Blessings and Curses there was rumored to be a well that Jacob had dug, thousands of years ago. Denny Meyer from Palisaes, Minesota, Homer Owen from Waco, Texas and I set out to find it. The picture above was what we found and when tested for water quality was rated as the purest water in Israel. A local Vineyard owner attests to the fact that this well had been in use whithout stop since the time of Jacob in the Old Testament.
