Cape Town

Driving the Garden Route from East London to Cape Town
we passed by the City of Knysna on the Indian Ocean

I was told that along the Garden Route in South Africa
all the known kinds of flowers on the planet are present

We were warned

And we heeded the advice!

We passed through the wine reagion of South Africa.
These grapes were not yet ready for harvest.

As we approached Cape Town this Cross was posted over looking the enitre valley
Hallelujah!

On the way to the famous Table Mountain we passed this
Shanty Town and estimate it to be 6 x 8 miles in size

Table Mountain from the Cable Base Station

Looking down from the Table Mountain Cable Base Station
onto the the valley and City of Cape Town

This is the Cable Car Station at the Summit of Table Mountain.
The wind kicked up when we were there and the Cable Car was grounded.
I was here in the early 1990's and was also unable
to go to the summit due to high winds.
